Thanks for getting in touch and the "barnstar award"...

Robert H. May (1822-1903) was married to my great-great grandmother's older sister, Josephine Calhoun. As a resident of Augusta, Georgia, I wanted to highlight some of Robert May's accomplishments. By reading numerous articles about May, he was a remarkable man, with a generosity that goes beyond just "good deeds." He also was mayor at a very difficult time in history.... with a city that was known for corruption & graft. He was elected to office on The Peoples Ticket and helped bring Augusta forward as a town for all the citizens.

my grandfather is William Walton May - I have been researching along with my uncle for several years - we have visited the cemetery in Augusta and his last residence and have tons of information relating to the May family.
