Welcome!

Note: I'll be on holiday from May 16th till May 30th and won't visit Wiki on a daily basis. Please be patient when respecting an answer from me: it could take a few days

Hello, Tonkie, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Had discussion about this ISP why I thought they should be on the Wiki - not as just any ISP but because their activities for several orgs on internet such as:
  • Bits for Freedom (sponsor)
  • several RIPE projects (sponsor and sponsor via transit for these projects)
  • several RIPE and/or K-Root server sponsoring for IPv6 usage
  • blew up the Dutch ISP organisation together with XS4ALL as the org didn't do what it was supposed to do.
  • active trying to stop the 'lawfull interception' laws and forced keeping logging of all mail and other data about intet usage.
  • main sponsor of event MegaBit - a LAN party sort of festival but with serious items about technique, law+internet, freedom of speach etc etc

Maybe I'll retry in future and will include the reasons why they should be in Wiki better in the main text - that was indeed missing when it was deleted....

Station Zutphen edit

Station Zutphen heeft zelfs 14 treinen per uur - want van spoor 3 heb je 4 treinen per uur (2x richting Nijmegen, 2x richting Zwolle). --Piz d'Es-Cha (talk) 18:31, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

An Invite to join Aviation WikiProject edit

Hi, you are cordially invited to join the Aviation WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to aviation. This includes aircraft, airports, airlines and other topics.

We look forward to welcoming you to the project! Canglesea (talk) 06:02, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hi Canglesea ,
Thanks for the invitation. Didn´t have the time to study all the info about the project but I am interested in joining. Do I need to apply for it or anything? (Placed a link on your Talk page to refer to this response to avoid you missing my answer). Many thanks, --JanT (talk) 18:37, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
No application needed, just add your name to the Members List and look around for task-forces/projects/tasks that interest you and dive in.
After posting my Q I read that on the projectpsge and added my name as active member. JanT (talk) 00:39, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Aviation project - MAIN SECTION edit

This section is meant for any comment or discussion in relation to my contributions or questions relating to this Wiki project. If you want to start a new subject related to Aviation please do NOT use the New Section link but Edit the main Aviation section and add your text in a new 2nd level header at the end of the box (or pick up the last sub-hdr part and add your new section there).

Tanger Airport: conflicting sources edit

As you can see on the Talk:Ibn Batouta International Airport I found conflicting info in two language versions of one source. As French is the main language of this site you would expect that version to be more correct, but the English version seems more recent. If you want to join this discussion please feel free to add your comments below.

A simmilar problem occurs with statistics: On quite some Category:Airports in Morocco pages I first extende stats to a table for 2002-2006 with details from ONDA or AZWorldairports. Since then ONDA reported 2007 figures on a combined document comparing 2006 with 2007. In some instances the 2006 number in this last document isn't the same as the 2006 number in the previous (and still existing on the site) used table. Which one to use?

And what if the data from one seemingly reliable source differs from another -also expected to be reliable- source?

please add your comments on this subject directly below.

End of Aviation related talk edit

If you want to start a new Aviation subject please insert it directly above the End of Aviation related talk using a header by starting on a new line with:

Speedy deletion of Nifty Archive edit

A tag has been placed on Nifty Archive requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  JGHowes  talk 20:57, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

In reply to your message, because the proposed deletion ("Speedy") was contested, I then nominated it for "regular" deletion. The process is explained at Guide to deletion. Because I proposed the deletion, another admin will close the discussion when consensus has been reached based on the criteria.  JGHowes  talk 13:55, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Statuibsweb-home.pdf edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Statuibsweb-home.pdf. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:44, 27 June 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 18:44, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Stationsweb edit

The article Stationsweb has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:WEB

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Falcon8765 (talk) 18:21, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (File:NiftyArchive-logo.png) edit

Thanks for uploading File:NiftyArchive-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:59, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sovereign Harbour edit

Thanks for expressing your concern. The reason I added the template to the article was because I did not think that the style was right. (Good addition to the cleanup tag which I also added). Although earlier today I cleaned it up a bit, it is still not very good in style. Regards, FM talk to me | show contributions ]  17:42, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

An exciting opportunity to get involved! edit

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 05:50, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Lukkien edit

The article Lukkien has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article does not appear to show how the company meets notability guidelines. No significant English or Dutch coverage online.

You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Tonkie67! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 942 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Mies Bouwman - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Reason I cleared the list of characters on the Snowed in the House of Mouse talk page... edit

About 90% of the characters were not Disney (ex. Tom and Jerry) or were created past 2001 (ex. Phineas Flynn, Isabella, Princess Tiana), so I cleared it so true info can be added from the movie. Leave me a message if there are questions or concerns of the page that I may accidently have done! Bye! Isabella and Lego Liker Whatcha doin'? 01:24, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Don't understand why you placed this message on my page. For now I'll just ignore it. Cheers ! JanT (talk) 19:12, 25 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You were the last user who changed it before I cleared it so the talk page can be used properly for comments and possible additions for the article. That is why I went to you. Isabella and Lego Liker Whatcha doin'? 04:27, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Template:MO planned motorway edit

A tag has been placed on Template:MO planned motorway requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Dublin Airport edit

Hi, I saw you Ryanar a/c picture on the Dublin Airport parge and I was wondering if you had any other pictures of Dublin Airport of aircraft parked at stands etc??? Jamie2k9 (talk) 17:14, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi Jamie, Sorry, I haven't many pics: for Dublin I have two pics uploaded to Commons: this one: Ryanair-737_at_Dublin from the back of the plave and this one from the terminal looking to the front (same plane). On my phone I've still got another one of the same plane taken from the top of the steps at the back door. But if you want that one I'd be happy to send it. RIPE NCC edit

Hi, I saw you just edited the RIPE NCC Page updating links. unfortunatly the website will soon be updated. Would you be interested to get all the links in advance and update the page soon?

Aloxe (talk) 16:53, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi Aloxe,
Recently I saw that the pages of the RIPE-NCC were changed (but hadn't been there for a long long time- at least not via the general portal).
I didn't see your message before: due to a very busy time at work I didn't have the time or the energy to log into Wiki in the evening - but thanks a lot.
I haven't checked the article(s) yet, so not sure if the links are now outdated or that you or someone else did update my EN en NL pages on the subject.
If you can indicate if we can 'translate' the URL from old to new it would be very helpful, but also feel free to just correct any broken links directly in the Dutch and/or English pages on the subject. Thanks for the warning. Jan JanT (talk) 23:08, 16 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
