Saints edit
They have only clinched a first-round bye thus far, not homefield advantage. A "z" in the standings means homefield advantage/#1 seed. Pats1 T/C 16:36, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

- Well, the ones that are colored, annotated, and seeded only go back to 2007. So that's only 16 that need to be changed (2008 and 2007). However, I saw that someone already put a new key on 2009 NFL season, that gives an extra notation for home field. Very complex now; you have to keep in mind that those templates will be removed from 2009 NFL season in two weeks, and a system like 2008 NFL season will be added. - Sounds good. I changed the 2006-2008 standings templates to reflect the change in the "z" notation. They are now the same as the 2009 standings templates. The only difference is that they don't have the playoff elimination notation, which will remove from the 2009 templates once the playoffs begin and thus it's obvious which teams were eliminated. As far as 2009 NFL season goes, we will remove the templates from there once the regular season ends, and replace them with the system used in 2008 and before; that is, no templates, just the actual tables with footnotes to represent tiebreakers and only green shading and playoff seeds.
