editIf you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Longhair\talk 09:03, 9 November 2018 (UTC)Tokunin1 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am an English teacher at the University of Shiga Prefecture. My students are currently engaged in a project-based learning class, the first part of which was translating the Japanese version of our school's page into English. The process of updating the page with citations is extremely tedious and that is currently what I am doing. I made this username to get my students familiar with the process of using Wikipedia to log their edits and to create a sense of identity with the project. They feel prouder of their progress if they can attach the USP name to their work instead of logging in anonymously. If necessary, I can submit my university credentials to prove that I am who I say I am. This project is not yet finished, as my students will next undertake independent research and write new sections to the English version of our school's page. I can assure that this username and our school's page IS NOT being used for advertisement and promotion. We are undertaking a strictly educational project. Decline reason:
What you seem to be saying is that all of your students are using this account; shared accounts are not permitted. Each user needs their own account. While the edits are not "promotional" per se they are being seen as a conflict of interest. Have you reviewed the pages on the Wikipedia Education Program? You may find that helpful. In any event, the shared use is enough reason for the block; you will need to confirm that a single individual is using this account and a username that better reflects that is a good idea too. 331dot (talk) 09:57, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

- Requesting a review for my block to be unblocked.
- Your request is open, and will be reviewed by an uninvolved administrator. Please be patient, as we are all volunteers. 331dot (talk) 11:34, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
I would like to know what else I can do to further my request. I have already changed my username to have instructed my students to not log on to this username. I would like to continue this educational task, but if it is not possible to do so under these conditions, would it be acceptable to create a course via the Education Program and continuing in that manner?
