You can find the Java solution folder here. You can open the individual class files at /src/ the folder contains the source code for a Gaussian processor, Sobel operator and Canny edge detector. The receptive field program works using an array of pixels around the center pixel in a circular pattern. I've included an image that shows the locations of the pixels relative to the center pixel and a Java class.
