Introduction to Evolution edit

Your commentary on the Introduction to Evolution featured article attempt is actively being discussed on Talk:Introduction to evolution. It would be most appreciated if you would be kind enough to contribute to the dialog there. It may be that your concerns have been addressed. If not, then further guidance would be appreciated. The page should be well organized; if you go to the bottom and scroll up you should be able to locate your specific concern which I took the liberty of copying/pasting to this page. Many thanks for following up on the discussion.--Random Replicator (talk) 23:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Looks good to me now, prose-wise. Titanium Dragon (talk) 00:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Just wondered if your oppose still stands. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 21:38, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just In Case That You Weren't Aware..... edit

Zeq has been banned for one year and indefinitely blocked from editing Israel/Palestine articles. I wasn't certain if you knew that.....
--NBahn (talk) 05:48, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I saw after I voted on the page. I just went to the last entry, saw the date on it being the 25th, and agreed with the consensus that the guy needed to be banned. Oh well, one more editor supporting it won't hurt, even if it already was decided, eh? Perhaps the section should be marked as an archive. Titanium Dragon (talk) 05:50, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Maybe; but User:MickMacNee and User:Juanita are engaging in historical revisionism -- we may very well need everything conveniently available in order to combat them.
--NBahn (talk) 06:27, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Where are they attempting historical revisionism? Titanium Dragon (talk) 06:57, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
If it wasn't such a HUGE page I would simply direct you toward the end of the page...but that isn't practical with this page. User:MickMacNee seems to make his first appearance (on this page, at least) here. But s/he and User:Juanita don't join forces until around here. (Although User:Juanita is a part of the page almost from the top.) MickMacNee and User:Juanita almost seem to be engaged in a campaign to deliberately minimize the activities of CAMERA.
I'm tired and I need to go to bed.
--NBahn (talk) 07:41, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Juanita is not actually Juanita but rather User:Dajudem or similar (don't remember the exact name), and he appears to be a member of CAMERA as well (and Israel-pedia) and perhaps headed for a ban himself. And I found what you were talking about and am now posting. I have no sympathy for the lot of them. Titanium Dragon (talk) 07:47, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Juanita/Dajudem has replied to your comment here. Now I am off to bed!NBahn (talk) 08:32, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: WP:DRV edit

Sorry to bother you, I just happened to notice your message on the log. A very quick question; I was trying to start a dispute over a number of files having been deleted; have I done it right the way? I'm not really sure how these things work.

Thanks in advance,

Dreamer.se (talk) 09:15, 26 April 2008 (UTC)dreamer.seReply

Sorry to be unhelpful, but despite being a long-time editor, I just follow the directions on the pages; I've never before put up an appeal regarding the deletion of materials from Wikipedia before, so I know little about the process. I can try and take a look and see, but I'm no expert on how to do such. Titanium Dragon (talk) 09:24, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Looking at it, the answer looks to be no; it didn't autoformat, so I'm assuming you didn't follow the directions on the page correctly in some way. The proper format is given on the page, or you can figure it out from the format of mine, but your appeal is missing essential information, such as, for instance, the name of the files whose deletion you are appealing. You should give a wikilink to the location where the deleted files were (so if they are restored, they know what to restore) as well as to the deletion debate (if any) related to the deleted files. Titanium Dragon (talk) 09:29, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Great! Thanks - I really appreciate it. Let's hope it works; I wouldn't want to quote all the names of those 34 (!) -ogg files he deleted just like that in the headline. :-)

I bow to you Sir!

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to make it work properly either. I'm sorry. You will need to list all thirty four of the files in the deletion log though, as otherwise the admins won't know what to undelete; you don't necessarily need to list it in the title section, but without the information of what files were deleted they can't be restored. That's all I really know, sorry I'm not much help. Titanium Dragon (talk) 09:40, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK! Will do. I'll just list them after the message itself then. Sorry about messing up the log page btw....... Mea culpa mea maxima culpa.

Eh, it happens. Someone will see the issue and fix it who actually knows what they're doing, but that person, unfortuantely, isn't me. Everyone makes mistakes when they first try to use pages like that. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Happy editing! Titanium Dragon (talk) 09:45, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, that headline is red now just like yours, so maybe that was it, it just needed the headline. I take it as a good sign.

Anyhoo: much obliged and have a nice weekend.

RE: "there's no reason you can't just remake the article from scratch" edit

...like you said on deletion review. I want to, but it's blocked. That is, if you were talking to me. Thanks, AmericanEagle 22:53, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey mon... edit

I just wanted to let you know I finished transwiking User:UsaSatsui/List of Magic: The Gathering keywords, and have marked the page for deletion. Since you showed an interest in reworking the article for re-inclusion, I thought you may want to know so you can save it into your own userspace. --UsaSatsui (talk) 07:29, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

A possible name change for Anonymous (group) edit

Hello there, I was wondering if you have any thoughts on the matter of moving Anonymous (group) to something more descriptive of the actual nature of the phenomenon (i.e. Anonymous (internet culture)). We are now debating this on the talk page. Your opinion would be most welcome. Spidern (talk) 16:25, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
