Fair use rationale for Image:Jiangyuyuan.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Jiangyuyuan.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:26, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Jiang Yuyuan edit

Hey, sorry about that. I hadn't had a chance yet to read the original source, and your edit summary had given me the impression that you were removing "poor" because it was unimportant. If "poor" isn't in the original source, then you're right that it probably shouldn't be in the article—I'll have to check out the article a bit later today to see what the best way to express that information would be. Thanks for your message. I think it's fine to keep the Chinese sources (assuming replacements can't be found in English) as long as there are Chinese translations...I just haven't gotten a chance to work on doing any of the translating, as I'm pretty busy this week. Anyway, I understand your frustration over being banned, as it can be quite a pain when language-illiterate editors try to make sweeping decisions about a language they don't know...and I hate Babelfish and think it should never be used for Wikipedia contributions. I'll try to work on doing some of those translations when I get a chance, so that no one will be able to try removing those sources from the article. —Politizertalk • contribs ) 17:54, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:46, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
