Conflict of Interest

edit

Dear Timble1,

If your real name is Timothy Farrell, and you are the developer of the Attacker-Defender-Goalkeepr system, then you have a conflict of interest when editing the Penalty shoot-out (association football) article, and you should not edit it per WP:COI. If you are not him, please ignore this message. --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 06:27, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK, you just have a similar first name, that is possible. I would also like to see some alternatives to the penalty shoot-out. But that should not be a motivation to edit the article. We, editors, should be neutral as can be, and only summarize what other sources say about the penalty shoot-out. At this moment, there is no indication at all that somebody is interested in the ADG method, because the only reference in the article is to Farrell's website. If you want to make the ADG look more important, you should add sources that say it is important. Secondary sources, so not sources written by Farrell, but by other people. --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 17:15, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
