Not notable. Despite the assertion that he was "a noted genealogist", neither the article nor anything I can find anywhere indicates that he was "noted". The article is efectively unreferenced, the one external link being a garbled page on a non-independent site.

Hello

It looks like you are blanking articles you created. I am guessing you have become a bit disillusioned with the Wikipedia process, and I totally understand how that can happen. Please understand that nobody owns an article on Wikipedia, even if they created it. Since Wikipedia is a collaboration of many people, policies are in place to prevent any one person from removing that work. For example, I note that the Harold Allen Tichenor has been proposed for deletion - you can remove that tag, and it cannot be restored. When that happens, if an editor still feels the article should be deleted it is submitted to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion where you and other editors will have the opportunity to comment and build a consensus. You have made some valuable contributions in the past, and I hope you will continue to do so. Seaphoto^Talk 20:48, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Seaphoto: I would not call it disillusionment, more like disgust at the capriciousness of some of the so called "editors". I have followed wiki since it's inception in 2001. I remember reading articles in the pc rags about it being free and no one would own it, how every contributor would be valued and respected. I understand the need to have some level of 'control' over the content so that it does not simply fall into the digital equivalent of checkout stand garbage. However, I do not think a graduate mathematician is qualified to assess the worth of contributions in fields that they obviously have little, if any, appreciation for. I find it terribly interesting that an article can contain information, for instance, who the first Playboy Playmate was that did not have public hair, but an article detailing the work of a man to trace the origins of a family back to the dawn of this nation, or detailing the life of one of the original founders of a major American city, has no merit. Having said that, I sincerely respect the decision of this 'editor' and will not bother the 'editorial staff' of Wikipedia with further contributions. I have much more pressing and important uses of my limited time.
