edit

Ever been here? Your edit in regard to our Twin Towers, while in good faith, is a bit on the inaccurate side. I invite you to view this image:

I'm not saying that I necessarily agree with the previous statement about the "striking resemblance" to the WTC, but... --InDeBiz1 (talk) 06:33, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for writing. In answer to your question, yes, I've lived in Peoria for most of my life and am very familiar with the Twin Towers. I assume that when you say that my edit was "in good faith," you are recognizing that the statement I removed was clearly not NPOV, and it was also written too informally (using "NYC WTC" instead of "the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City"). On the subject matter of the statement though, I suppose my explanation of the edit was a little rash, but I don't think it was really inaccurate. I would entertain an argument that they were perhaps inspired by the twin towers of the World Trade Center (although unfortunately very little information seems to be available on the history of modern buildings in downtown Peoria), but really, aside from the fact that they are square-footprinted twin towers and occupy a catty-corner arrangement, there's really not any resemblance. If you want to talk about "striking resemblance," personally I think they look like they're made of Legos, but since that's just my opinion, I didn't add that to the article :o) Thewrongidea (talk) 07:18, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
LOL, touche! I personally think the Twin Towers here are ugly as sin, but there ya go. No hard feelings from me about the edit, just was struck a little funny about the wording in your summary, for some reason. Since you've lived here (live, present tense?), you're more than familiar with the subject at hand and more than qualified to comment.  :) Have a great night! --InDeBiz1 (talk) 07:32, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
