Wikipedia:Citing sources. --Exorcist Z (talk) 18:46, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

You ( Exorcist Z) have noted many times that Faherty is 5'8ft or 1.78m! There are many websites and people who know this not to be true so please stop quoting or using The Irish Times website as a reference when it is clear you don't know what you are talking about. Actually it would be helpful if you stopped editing the page entirely as you are constantly using a website which clearly has the wrong information on many of his stats! I have posted a link to the St. Patrick's Athletic website which needs to be update but is more accurate!

At first, try to be a bit kinder, please. However, I agree with you when you say he's 1.83m tall but:
  1. the statistics you wrote are wrong or at least unsourced. Please read here and here
  2. his eligibility for Denmark must be certified using sources. His club profile doesn't mention it

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Vinny Faherty. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Struway2 (talk) 09:44, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I apologise for any information that I update that may have been incorrect. Although there is no need to post the players stats from each season. It seems this is an attempt by you to devalue the players page. It does concern me why you would take such an interest in this players page? Are you a friend or maybe someone who dislikes the player in question?

Hello, thanks for not re-adding the incorrect stats, and sorry you think adding sourced information "devalues" the article in some way. I've had a better look at the subject now, and unfortunately it appears that the version you and others have been reinstating is largely a word-for-word copy of the player profile on St Pat's website at http://www.stpatsfc.com/player.php?playerid=99 . As that page is copyright to the company trading as St Patrick's Athletic, and there's no evidence of its contents being licensed for free re-use, Wikipedia isn't allowed to copy from it. If you want more info on Wikipedia's attitude to copyright, have a look at Wikipedia:Copyright violations. So I've rewritten the copied part, with reference both to the St Pat's profile and to other sources. I've added a note of what I've done on the article talk page (and restored the prior contents which you removed - please don't delete comments from talk pages unless they're blatant vandalism). cheers, Struway2 (talk) 12:59, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I feel you adding the stats to his page in the Galway United section are unnecessary and it's obviously an attempt to be little the player and his page! The stats are on the right hand side, there is no need to post the information on his page also. Thank you, and once again sorry for any misunderstanding!

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Vinny Faherty. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Exorcist Z (talk) 18:01, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I beg to differ and see you pointless inserts as vandalism. All the players stats are on his page now and there is no need to add them in a few different points throughout the article. I'm still unsure as to why your taking a particular interest in this topic, but it is a little disturbing that your intent on making it look worse. It has all the information in needs now. All your inputs are negative. I'm yet to see a positive input to this article from you. Any personal dislike you have for the player or anything you may begrudge him off should not interfere with wikipedia. Thank you

Perhaps you might want to comment at the article talk page, where I've started a thread on the matter at Talk:Vinny Faherty#Galway stats. Thank you. Struway2 (talk) 21:03, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hello again. You may not be aware that if we keep reverting each other, we'll both get blocked for Edit warring, which won't do anything any good. I've made a suggestion at the article talk page which you may want to comment on. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 23:07, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
