• One, did you mention in the article that it was about a fictional character and not a real person? (I can't view deleted pages as I'm not an admin) If not he probably mistook it to be about a real person.
• You mentioned that you are writing about a character that you personally created, I suggest that you might want to check out the page on WP:COI.

Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged - see our guideline Writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later.
