Your edits to classical music articles
editHi TheVOC, your contributions to articles about organists and organs are greatly appreciated. However, I've noticed a few problems with your editing.
Infoboxes should not be used in classical music articles per Wikipedia:WikiProject Composers#Biographical infoboxes, which links to pages about opera and classical music in general. I notice that you seem to be having trouble formatting posts on talk pages - for that problem, see the talk page guidelines. Also, lists like Symphony No. 3 are meant to be ordered by the surname of the composer, not the first name, so I have undone all your edits in those articles. Regards, Graham87 12:14, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, :p I am sorry about that forgive my newbish mistakes, there are so many hidden rules about particular pages especially infoboxes, it's too bad, I like them, oh well. Also thanks for un-doing my A-Z edits, perhaps it would look better if we listed the composers last names first, it sort of looks all sloppy right now... --TheVOC (talk) 17:57, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- If you want to change how the symphony pages are laid out, ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Classical music. Graham87 12:19, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
editHello TheVOC! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 179 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- François-Henri Houbart - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
