Welcome edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and to creating astronomy articles. I just wanted to let you know that some of your edits in the article you recently created could be viewed as unconstructive (that's WP-speak for WP:UNCONSTRUCTIVE). Stub categories should not be added explicitly (eg. as [[Category:Stubs]]}}, only using the appropriate templates (eg. {{galaxy-stub}}). Also, the most low-level stub template should be used and not any of its parents (eg. {{galaxy-stub}} rather than {{astronomy-stub}} and definitely not both). Stub templates, which generate their own stub categories, do not count as categorising an article, hence an article is still considered uncategorised when it contains only a stub category. Lastly, repeatedly imposing the same edits when they are reverted by another editor is an WP:EDITWAR, considered one of the worst behaviours in Wikipedia. The edit-warring rules apply to me as well as you, but in this case your edits are so obviously unconstructive that I would most likely get a free pass. Please think carefully before putting back the same incorrect tags and categories. Lithopsian (talk) 17:20, 26 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
