License tagging for Image:T1 ford3.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:T1 ford3.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thanks for uploading Image:Romar.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 22:07, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

By the way, just so you know, I'm not a bot. I'm a human editor concerned because you appear to have uploaded many images that you don't have clear permission to use. Please show me that I'm wrong, or else your image additions to articles may have to be reverted on a case-by-case basis. We do appreciate you trying to contribute, but image copyrights are taken pretty seriously here. Thanks -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 22:10, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Albums

edit

I am not sure if you have made all of them, but I know you have made at least one album tonight, and there have been several others that are written in a similar way and are of a similar style of music. When writing an album page, on the tracklisting, instead of typing the numbers, type-

  1. Track 1
  2. Track 2
  3. etc...

(Hit 'edit this page' to see the difference.)

This also means that you do not need to use the <br> tag. Thanks! J Milburn 23:58, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Images

edit

Hello S3000. Please do not upload any additional images until you have thoroughly reviewed the following pages:

One key point is that all images must specify their copyright holder and copyright status. The following are some of your uploads that do not include this information. They will have to be deleted in one week if this information is not provided along with a detailed fair use rationale.

Please also remember that Wikipedia is a free content project and only accepts restrictively copyrighted material in a few very specific cases. Take special note of fair use criterion #1, which does not allow us to use unfree images of living, active athletes. If you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. ×Meegs 07:41, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Big Jut

edit

A tag has been placed on Big Jut, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please write {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Missvain 04:13, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since the Gray Tapes

edit

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Since the Gray Tapes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Spellcast 12:26, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
