Speedy deletion nomination of Milkdrive

edit

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Milkdrive requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Saebvn (talk) 21:30, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove any CSD tagging from articles that you create.

edit

Please do not remove any CSD tagging from articles that you create. This is not permitted. See WP:CSD for more information on this policy. I have replaced the CSD tag but have left your "hang on" tag in place. I will also start a discussion about the article here on the talk page. Regards. Saebvn (talk) 21:39, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

DO NOT REMOVE CSD TAGS

edit

Please do not remove CSD tags from articles that you create. Thank you. Saebvn (talk) 21:47, 4 October 2010 (UTC)   Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Milkdrive, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.Reply

MilkDrive

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of MilkDrive, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.ilike.com/artist/MiLkDrive.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of MilkDrive

edit

A tag has been placed on MilkDrive requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on MilkDrive, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ironholds (talk) 21:08, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article George Ducas (singer), you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 23:03, 11 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Per the message above, please do not continue to remove sourced material from articles. The fact that you are affiliated with the subject makes it even more important that you do not continue to edit the George Ducas article. Please ensure you read WP:COI in order to understand why editing an article with which you have a conflict of interest is strongly discouraged. If you still believe the non-contentious sourced content should be removed from the article, you may post a message on the biographies of living people noticeboard to see if there is consensus to do so, and then an uninvolved editor will make the change. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:50, 12 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please note that as you continue to remove sourced information from your client's article despite the information that has been provided to you above regarding our Conflict of Interest guidelines, I have requested review of your edits at the BLP noticeboard. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:32, 12 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I see that during your block from editing you did not take the time to read Wikipedia's policies on conflicts of interest. You have jumped right back in by trying to delete the article. You could always begin a deletion discussion to see if others agree that the article should be deleted, but trust me, a very well sourced article on an obviously notable individual written in a neutral manner will not simply be deleted because the subject does not like it. I have pointed to you to a number of policies, guidelines, and noticeboards where you can read and discuss the nature of your concerns, yet you choose to continue to act unilaterally and without discussion. As Wikipedia is a collaborative environment that works via consensus, editing in this matter is considered disruptive. You may find this page helpful. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:55, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Kyle Park

edit

The article Kyle Park has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable musician/band; article created by his press agent (since blocked for multiple violations, and following it up with sockpuppetry)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
