Disagree with reversion on Plot Generator

edit

Hiya. I disagree with your reversions to the edit I made on Plot Generator. I corrected an error, and the reversion restores that error. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TescoCookies (talkcontribs) 00:23, 1 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

My mistake. Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed it. --Randy Johnston 00:25, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sign talk pages

edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --Randy Johnston 00:26, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Signing necessary?

edit

If it's necessary to add four tildes and the datetime, why does the system add it anyway? For example, "—The preceding unsigned comment was added by TescoCookies (talk • contribs) 00:23, 1 January 2007 (UTC)." TescoCookies 00:36, 1 January 2007 (UTC)TC 010035ZJAN06Reply

That addition was placed onto my talk page after your edit by a bot. Unfortunately, the bot doesn't catch all unsigned comments. --Randy Johnston 00:38, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
