Actually, I am beginning to understand how it works, I think. These talk pages are for communicating about the page under construction, i.e. about editing issues. There is not an "email" service as such. So everything that is done on Wikipedia is by way of editing pages. So the TALK page will function as the carrier or messages when the two users edit the page, i.e. enter a new message. There is no SEND button! Just saving. Is that right?
You are right about the way the articles are places in two different categories. This sucked, but it was the only way to do it if we wanted to have an article in two places. I only had a quick look at your email this afternoon. Will read and reply properly asap.
