WPWX

I reverted your previous edits in relation to WPWX. The station's signal has a very strong reach within the city of Chicago. Their website even says "WPWX Power 92 Chicago." Even if WPWX is licensed to, and covers, Northwest Indiana, is it possible to keep it on both lists, that way there isn't any confusion? I mean, the station is still heard within Chicago, is it not??? --Skeeball93 (talk) 20:56, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

@Skeeball93: Many stations in Northwest Indiana cover Chicago, and even some stations with only fringe coverage in Chicago use Chicago as part of their ID. With a metropolitan area as large as Chicago, it becomes necessary to divide the metropolitan area into divisions to keep the navbox from becoming excessively large. New York City and Los Angeles also have separate navboxes for parts of their metropolitan area. Chicago's navbox is excessively large as it is. If we include in the Chicago navbox every station with coverage in the city, most of the stations from the Northwest Indiana navbox would be included, as would WTMJ 620 from Milwaukee. The fact is, the criterion for inclusion in navboxes is not where they cover, but their city of license.--Tdl1060 (talk) 01:26, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
