Changes to articles

Why are you changing all of the links from iranica to iranicaonline? The site still works and is the main address of the site. Iranicaonline redirects to iranica, so why all the changes? warrior4321 19:49, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

The name of the new domain is iranicaonline.org. We retained "iranica.com" as an alias so that links to the home page would not all be broken on the day the website migrated (April 1, 2010). At least, those were our instructions.

If in fact iranicaonline.org is being redirected, then the servers must not be configured correctly, and we will need to pursue that.

It was judged essential that we get out of a COM domain name. Unfortunately, "iranica.org" was not available and our purchase offer was not accepted. Tdchbru (talk) 20:19, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
