Hello, SIGACT committee member(s)! I appreciate the high-quality contributions to Wikipedia articles you have made since March, and by all means I hope you continue!

However, I must warn you that the use of a single account by multiple people is against policy. See WP:NOSHARE for details. Instead, I encourage you to create a new account for each person who wishes to edit Wikipedia.

In addition to policy matters, both you and the rest of Wikipedia will benefit if you choose to integrate with existing efforts. Instead of using User:Tcshasaposse/topics: List of topics to track progress you can take advantage of the resources at Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer science. Instead of developing your own guidelines from scratch, as at User:Tcshasaposse/stylemanual: Manual of style, you can work with Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer science/Manual of style (computer science) and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (mathematics).

In fact, if you wish to remain part of a focused group, you can even found a new subproject, i.e. Wikipedia:WikiProject Theoretical computer science. Rest assured that using separate accounts will not restrict your editing rights or organizational possibilities in any way!

In light of policy, and understanding your other opportunities at Wikipedia, will you therefore consent to the account User:Tcshasaposse being blocked?

Thank you, Melchoir (talk) 08:42, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

...Without objection, I am blocking the account. It can still edit this talk page for comment.
