The book that I am writing about is called Unenchanted (An Unfortunate Fairytale Book 1), written by Chanda Hahn. The articles that were found were relevant to the topic because there was some that mentioned the story's progression and how it all came together. The things that were distracting were the reviews and how the book was rated. The reviews in particular ranged from 1-5 stars and so it showed how the person liked the book and what they disliked about the book. The article is absolutely biased because it is in fact a blog and those reviews showed the person's subjective opinion. The reason why I was unable to find an actual article was because this book is not too well known as other Young Adult books like "Divergent" or "The Hunger Games". Many of the claims ranged from people not liking it because they felt that there was a lack of character progression, and others despised that there was a cliffhanger at the end of the book. The majority of the reviews swung towards a feeling of awe and excitement because they thoroughly enjoyed the book and were awaiting for more books of the series to read. There are viewpoints that are underrepresented like how some people despised the main character because she did certain things they found unfavorable however, the majority of the reviews overrepresented that the character was phenomenal and that she was essentially a legendary heroine. There are no citations whatsoever because this was a very informal blog where every review is opinionated so there are no facts based on evidence. In fact, these reviews about Chanda Hahn's "Unenchanted", come from her own blog. The section of her blog named "About Me" talks all about her reasoning to become a writer and in reading this I found that she makes a claim stating that she is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author. There was no citation for this but with further research to these statements through Google, it turns out they are true. The reason why I say this claim was valid is because there were multiple websites (including Amazon)that stated that she was in fact a New York Times and USA Today Bestseller. The fact that there is no link anywhere in her blog to prove that she is what she says she is, makes it seem a bit suspicious and many will want to check her credibility. There was information talking about dates for books to come out, from 2015...so I would consider that out of date because it is not relevant to the current year. Something that could be added could be the year in which she was deemed a Bestselling Author to give herself more credibility. There are a plethora of conversations praising the book on many blogs. The blog is related to the topic of conversation because it talks about the book a bit, but not in depth. There are no current conversations on Wikipedia because the page does not exist. As I said before, this book hasn't reached mainstream media so there is no way to decipher whether or not the manner in which Wikipedia discusses the topic. A question I have for the blog I read is, why hasn't there been any new material added to the page since 2015? Tabitha C. Tcarter516 (talk) 00:40, 8 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
