Okichitaw edit

Hey, I made a number of changes to the article. I removed a lot of the language that seemed to be overly promotional of George Lepine and Okichitaw, and tried to reword it so it sounded more descriptive, rather than giving the perception (as it did before) that it was specifically there to promote the art, Lepine and his school. As Wikipedia editors we see a lot of purely promotional material get posted. If you stay with Wikipedia (which I hope you do), you will see a lot of that kind of stuff. I hope you understand the good faith intentions of the editors (including me) who originally nominated the article for deletion. Also, if you have any influence with the the folks at nativemartialarts.com, could you get them to make the link to Wikipedia somewhat less prominent? The way it's placed makes it seem that the Wikipedia article is something promotional. If I were you I would see if I could make the Wikipedia article link just one of many external informational links on your site. For instance the birchbark link could be on the nativemartialarts.com site with it, or any other magazine articles, etc. Also, I've commented in support of the article at the deletion debate. You might want to as well. The debate seems to currently be about even, but it might help to tip the scale in the 'Keep' direction. Happy editing!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 07:44, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
