I have not figured out how to communicate to you that this is my (and my co-authors') own paper, and that we own the copyright. I have tried to to everything I can, but have not succeeded. I added links instead.

Thank you for uploading this media,
However, it would be nice if you could give some kind of indication as to what license the media is under. That way other people can be confident in making use of it for many varied purposes :)
Adding license information also helps prevent media you've put effort into creating from being deleted :)
You may wish to read Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags#For_image_creators which will assist you :)
BTW You might also want to see if the file is of interest to Wikisource ..

File copyright problem with File:Eklund Peters Duthie 2010=Purring Cheetah Domestic Cat.pdf
editThank you for uploading File:Eklund Peters Duthie 2010=Purring Cheetah Domestic Cat.pdf. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 19:36, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Eklund Peters Duthie 2010 Purring Cheetah DomesticCat.pdf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. nn123645 (talk) 08:37, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

editHello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Purr may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

MOS:QUOTES
editHi, your edits to Julius Caesar broke a number of internal links. Eg Plut. Caes.
is correct; see Wikipedia:CGR/Guides/Primary sources. It is not Plut. “Caes.”. Wikipedia's markup uses ''TEXT'' to italicise. They should not be turned into smart quotes, especially by running find-replace loops. Moreover, the Manual of Style prescribes against using "smart" quotes. See MOS:QUOTES. I reverted your edit on both grounds. Ifly6 (talk) 13:00, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
