Shoreliners edit

I got most of my info from this thread. While not a citable source by wikipedia standards, as railroad.net is a message board, I know that many of the other posters are railroad employees, so im sure it's accurate.

As for the actual questions at hand here, the problem seems to be that the actual fleet is not as cut and dry as the chart presents. The two reasons seem to be that, firstly, the numbers presented here are innaccurate and should be outright removed. Afterall, wikipedia is not a railfan directory.

Secondly, Metro-North's Shoreliner fleet contains cars that were originally built for SLE and the west-of-Hudson service, but have since been overhauled (or are in the process of being overhauled) to be identicle to the 4 orders placed by Metro-North for their own service. In short, even Metro-North doesn't pay that close attention to which cars are in which generation, and only broadly classify them themselves. oknazevad (talk) 14:21, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

NJT MCI D4500CTs edit

Those should also be fixed to CAT C13 ACERTs. The engine on both is the same, and is erroneous on that page. Thank you. --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 21:35, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
