Hello. Concerning your contribution, Behrouz Jamali, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.behrouzjamali.com/pages/about.htm. As a copyright violation, Behrouz Jamali appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Behrouz Jamali has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Behrouz Jamali and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Behrouz Jamali with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Behrouz Jamali.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 20:30, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • You will find that at the bottom of the page you gave me the link to, it clearly states that that website's content is not suitable for use on Wikipedia. It says "All Text and Photos on this website may be used and edited for non commercial purposes." The non-commercial restriction is not compatible with Wikipedia's GFDL license; material used here must be free for use for all purposes, including commercial. —C.Fred (talk) 20:56, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Behrouz Jamali, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. The text from Jamali's website is unsuitable for Wikipedia use for the reasons described above; it fails the licensure requirements. If Jamali is worthy of an article, it needs to be written in original prose. —C.Fred (talk) 21:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The second article was in my own writing as instructed and it was not copied from his site. Please take a minute to compare. Is the article still in violation of Copyright? Thanks. Tabrizli (talk) 21:46, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes. A majority of the article is still directly copied; it appears that you've made minor changes (active/passive, a few omissions), but the bulk of the text is still copied. —C.Fred (talk) 21:51, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I understand and thank you for your attention. I will write an original article about him not using the same wordings from his site and I am also thinking of contacting him to get permission just to be in safe side and comply with your copyright conditions. Thanks again. Tabrizli (talk) 21:58, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
