Thank you for your interest in updating population figures for various upazilas. The reliability of citypopulation.de for census data has been discussed several times on Wikipedia, most recently [here]. My reading of the consensus is that they are not a reliable source, because they are self-published according to the definitions in Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. There is no evidence that the site has a "reputation for fact-checking and accuracy", and there is no peer or editorial review. Brinkhoff says the upazila numbers are from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS). Since we have ready access to the BBS, we should use their data and cite them directly.
