Survey of English Dialects edit
Thanks very much for updating the list. I think that it is ironic that today was the day that I got some more information on other sites in the North of England from a library, but found out that you had already put it all up - plus more in the rest of the country. Eccleston edit
With the location of Eccleston, Lancashire, I wonder whether your info might be able to tell us whether it's the Eccleston near to St Helens or near to Chorley. They are very close to each other, and, in all maps that I've seen, I've never been able to tell which it was. Might you know? That would be useful so that we can link it to the appropriate article for that Eccleston.
I've written a little reply on the discussion page, saying that I would like maps with all of that stuff on if you would be so kind. There is a large atlas of maps showing isoglosses of "the North Country" at a library at the Uni of York. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner, and am not a member of that uni.

I'm not sure whether you have heard about this in Switzerland, but there is a new Survey of Regional English [Su.R.E.] underway. It is also being undertaken by the University of Leeds. It has been mentioned in some of the Yorkshire Dialect Society's material, and I have written to someone asking on what is currently happening with it. If I hear anything useful about, I shall inform you and perhaps add to Wikipedia on it.
