A tag has been placed on Tilly's, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fan-1967 18:08, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove tags

edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.

Adding {{hangon}} does not mean removing other tags. Fan-1967 20:15, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Problems with your article

edit

As I said on the article Talk page, there's a huge problem with Conflict of interest. When people create articles about themselves, or their own companies, they often believe the articles to be fair and unbiased. They are almost never correct in that assessment. Notable companies do not need to create articles on themselves. If a company is truly notable, someone not connected to it will create an article on it, but I doubt this would be the case here.

The simple fact here is that the article was clearly created by Tilly's, to promote Tilly's.

The fact that there may be other inappropriate articles on Wikipedia is not relevant in any way. Each must be judged on its own. Fan-1967 21:41, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
