tone of article

edit

I think we ought to look into the overall tone of what is written so far, it doesn't quite feel as neutral as I think wikipedia explains in the lessons we've had.

For example, the sentence:

"Two-Spirit speculative fiction must be acknowledged by the broader literary community because it offers a chance for the often marginalized Indigenous queer community to share their stories and experiences."

It has a certain judgment call on what society ought to be doing in regards to this topic, and I don't know if that is our place to say even if it's we agree on it. I think a more neutral tone might be "Two-Spirit speculative fiction seeks acknowledgment by the broader literary community in order to offer communities that can be marginalized by mainstream media or culture, thereby giving Indigenous or queer communities the opportunity to be heard and seen."

I didn't want to make those kinds of edits without discussing it first. CarnegieHall (talk) 06:30, 22 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

I agree. We don't want to present a biased view on the topic. I'll work on making it more neutral sounding. What else do you think we could add to complete this week's assignment? Swistics (talk) 22:27, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think we could definitely add to the list of works at the conclusion of the article - perhaps a short description of them as well? CarnegieHall (talk) 00:38, 25 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
okay, add it then. we need more words for this week's assignment. Swistics (talk) 00:57, 25 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

pictures

I think it would be a good idea to add some pictures to the section on examples of two-spirit literature by two-spirit authors. Should we choose pictures of book & movie covers or authors? Or both? Swistics (talk) 22:32, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

examples

I think we need more examples under two-spirit media but I'm having trouble finding movies and shows about two-spirit individuals Swistics (talk) 06:33, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I feel like we aren't using enough citations in our article and our references section should have more sources in it by now. can someone look into adding more citations? Swistics (talk) 02:18, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
