Many salutations, my friend!!! I see that you have taken quite an interest in this older incidence of my handiwork all throughout November and December 2010. Since your activity prologue starts in November 2010, it is not unreasonable for me to conclude that you are a new Wikipedia editor. I warmly welcome you to the community with some counsel to keep in mind throughout your stay here. The article that you modified was written with the intention of encouraging the reader to go see the »Candy Candy« anime series for himself; in line with this volition, each episode synopsis was written to hydroplane across the general idea of each episode and are vague by design. This is known as a spoiler; most people do not like that happening, so please do your best to make the subsequent detailed investigation of the series the reader's choice by the greatest margin possible.

While I am not upset at some of the changes that you have done, I have noticed that you avail such comments in your edit summaries as »Language_bad_translation_ stiff vocabulary_run on sentences« and »improving_language_translation« along with its variant »improving translation«. While I do take slight umbrage at this implication, I am more perplexed at your rationale for your reference to the episode synopses in [incarnation] that you modified as a foreign language.

Another thing that I have noticed is that you have modified some of the character names in a way that I do not think is productive. This is what I have noticed with a great deal of frequency:

Sister Pony → Miss Pony

Sister Lane → Sister Mary Jane (This I passionately disagree with)

Kurin → Klint (How did you get this!?!)

Adley → Andrew (I will need the rationale for this explained to me)

Cromwell → Cornwell (Are you certain that this is the correct family name?)

Archibald/Alistear → Archi/Stear (This is an encyclopedia; let us not use nicknames -- please)

Patricia → Patty (Ditto as above)

Grand-Aunt Elroy → Great-Aunt Elroy (I need this explained a bit more; from what I understand, Elroy is the sister of one of the four Adley grandparents.)

Once again, please keep in mind that it needs to be the reader's choice as to whether to investigate further; Wikipedia's main function is to explain enough to prompt the reader to investigate further. This is an encyclopedia, my friend; as such, it is supposed to read a little thick. I once again welcome you as a fellow editor and encourage you to keep my counsel in mind. If you may, I would like your perspective on the issues that I have pointed out

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
