Hey, I am building this slowly but momentum should pick up soon. I will be looking into the performance of electronic music, especially as it pertains to live control devices, midi-interfaces etc (not visual stage antics necessarily). Let me know if there're any in particular you'd like to read more about. I know that there are some cool devices out there that can be used effectively to control live sound in real-time in different ways.

I have created articles on 3 alternative control devices: Don Buchla's Marimba Lumina, Thunder, and Lightning (I & II) devices. I have performed with the Lightning II and will try to post an excerpt which demonstrates the unique quality of the device (though the visual aspect of seeing someone waving their arms around is lost somewhat....)

Already a few minutes in and folks are 'cleaning up' my entries. What a beautifully dynamic creature this wiki-world is!

I have expanded categories to include some related topics of interest. SwAMPstudio 22:20, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

OK, I have created a new article on Tod Machover. His hyperinstruments are like MIDI controllers on drugs, or something like that. I was suprised that nothing had already been started on him, as he has definitely been on the forefront of interactive musical instrument development. SwAMPstudio 05:11, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
