Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:800px-St. John's School, Leatherhead-Entrance-01.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 20:24, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

image use edit

Hi Surreyinterest! On WP it is the rule to use the largest image size possible, and then reduce the size at which it is inserted into the article. This is done using WP's extended image syntax. By specifying "thumb" rather than "frame", the image size is automatically scaled down to the user's preferred image size--and if anyone wants to see the image at the largest size possible they can click on the picture to see more. For this reason, only the largest version of any particular image is kept, and I deleted the small version again. I'm sorry for screwing up the page formatting earlier--I didn't notice that the image setting was "frame." Calliopejen1 (talk) 22:34, 7 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
