Supply chain management edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Supply chain management. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you.

See also WP:COI in case it might apply. [1] --Ronz (talk) 21:21, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the message on my talk page. My concern is that you removed a great deal of content without making any indication why, while adding, "A more recent evolution is the Optimized SCM Model developed by The Supply Chain Center." That's an advertisement. Have you read WP:COI yet? --Ronz (talk) 01:49, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'm happy to clarify further. The relevant policies/guidelines include WP:NOTADVERTISING, WP:COI, and WP:SPAM. If you'd like others' opinions, WP:DR offers many options. WP:THIRD would be a good starting point, which I'd be happy to write up if you'd like. --Ronz (talk) 15:37, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I understand and agree that the article is in poor shape. However, it's best to use edit summaries or comments on the article talk page so others understand such a rewrite. Please don't use yourself or your business as references - they are not reliable sources and your citing them raises WP:NOTADVERTISING, WP:COI, and WP:SPAM concerns. I hope you'll continue to work on the article - it could use help from someone with your expertise. --Ronz (talk) 16:04, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Supplychainmap.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Supplychainmap.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:04, 12 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 22:04, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
