November 2014 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Wi-Fi has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Wi-Fi. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. NebY (talk) 15:54, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Copypasting from other sites edit

Your addition to Wi-Fi has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. --McGeddon (talk) 16:02, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your username edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Wi-Fi, and I noticed that your username, "SunshineAwake", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a username change that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. It is striking that your recent edits at WiFi pasted in material that also appears at http://www.sunshineawakenings.org/wifi/ (though it may not be original to that site either), part of a website which describes itself as being of "Sunshine Awakenings, a local non-profit currently involved in facilitating public community art circles, free meditation groups, community relief and donation based benefit concerts."   Please refrain from making nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wi-Fi with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you.   This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Wi-Fi. Porterjoh (talk) 16:40, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistent disruptive editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  - Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:51, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
