Neuroscience of sleep

edit

Thank you for your wonderful article! It is a very valuable contribution to the encyclopedia. If you have time and inclination, an article which needs work (or total replacement), is Sleep architecture. I think such an article is important, but what is there is a mess of a stub. I'd like to see the corresponding section of Sleep reduced and info from there moved to Sleep architecture. Is this something you can do? Thanks, --Hordaland (talk) 02:11, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Hordaland! I did see the article on Sleep architecture while I was looking for material. I can try to work on this (may take a week or two before I get started).. I will let you know when that happens and maybe you can give me some suggestions.. -- Suchithra.ravi (talk) 02:39, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
There are differences of opinion. Some feel that there should be a 'complete' sleep architecture section in Sleep and no separate architecture article. Someone suggested merging Sleep architecture into Circadian rhythm, which makes no sense to me. A new possibility is a complete such section in Neuroscience of sleep. So it's just my opinion that we need a separate article. Your opinion should weigh heavily. --Hordaland (talk) 20:20, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have been trying to read this up a little, because I am not much of an expert in sleep as such. I think the Sleep architecture article should be kept separate because there is more that can be written there. Adding it to Sleep might become too much detail on a sub-topic. Adding it to Neuroscience of Sleep is not a bad idea, but it is probably best to keep it as a separate article. Suchithra.ravi (talk) 03:12, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
