  Arbitration

  • Following the banning of an editor by the WMF last year, the Arbitration Committee resolved to hold an RfC regarding on-wiki harassment. The RfC has been posted at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Anti-harassment RfC and is open to comments from the community.
  • The Medicine case was closed, with a remedy authorizing standard discretionary sanctions for all discussions about pharmaceutical drug prices and pricing and for edits adding, changing, or removing pharmaceutical drug prices or pricing from articles.

Unexplained reversion at User talk:Katherine (WMF)

Please explain why you reverted my contribution to User talk:Katherine (WMF). You inadvertantly omitted that in your edit summary. Thank you. NedFausa (talk) 19:40, 3 July 2020 (UTC)

You posted oversightable material, which I have also suppressed. I was looking to try and let you know about it privately by email, but had just discovered you don't have that option enabled when you messaged here. I suggest you send your request to Katherine via more private means. stwalkerster (talk) 19:48, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
Please, could you give me at least a hint as to what oversightable material I posted? It will help me understand what I did wrong. Thank you. NedFausa (talk) 19:50, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
@Stwalkerster: Ideally, I would like to rewrite my contribution to User talk:Katherine (WMF) so as to exclude oversightable material, and repost it to that page. Of course, if you believe my entire contribution was oversightable, that plan will not work. That's why I seek your guidance. And incidentally, I disabled email from other users because I have edited the high-profile, highly controversial pages 2020 Delhi riots (300 edits), Antifa (United States) (133 edits), and Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (496 edits). That led to abusive correspondence from users unhappy with my contributions. I disabled email to spare myself such abuse. I trust you understand. NedFausa (talk) 20:40, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
Apologies for the delay in responding - it's been a chaotic week for me in real life. I hope you also understand why I cannot discuss suppressed content in a public venue such as this. That being said, I considered whether the substance of your comment could survive without the relevant material, or an obvious way for others to discover the relevant material, and I determined that was not the case as it was written - hence my recommendation to send your request to Katherine via more private means. stwalkerster (talk) 11:01, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

OTRS OS-related ticket

Hi Stwalkerster. I noticed that VRTS ticket # 2019111910000524 has been pending your input re a suppression of yours for a while. If you could take a look, it'd be appreciated. Best, --Mdaniels5757 (talk) 18:15, 4 July 2020 (UTC)

I've left a note with my thoughts. stwalkerster (talk) 11:09, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

user page deletion

Why did you delete my user page? Can you give me back? Thanx // B. Macho 08:42, 13 July 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by B. Macho (talkcontribs)

It was purely vandalism created by a now-blocked user. You are welcome to create a userpage for yourself if you wish. stwalkerster (talk) 12:29, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

Why was IP blocked?

91.76.69.97 asked this question and when I read the Help Desk archives and see no evidence the person who asked the question saw the response, I go to the person's talk page. I can't find anything that shows why this IP was blocked, but it seems the person should know the request was granted.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:26, 24 July 2020 (UTC)

It was blocked following abuse found in CheckUser data. stwalkerster (talk) 22:30, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
Oh, I see that now. I went ahead and notified the IP about the responses anyway.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 17:51, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
