Hello, I'm Joseph2302. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, it's important to be mindful of the feelings of your fellow editors, who may be frustrated by certain types of interaction, such as your addition to Talk:2020 Formula One World Championship. While you probably didn't intend any offense, please do remember that Wikipedia strives to be an inclusive atmosphere. In light of that, it would be greatly appreciated if you could moderate yourself so as not to offend. Don't use selective quoting to misrepresent me ever again. Claiming I said we should use bold and italics is a blatant lie Joseph2302 (talk) 07:40, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't want to have a heated argument here or upset anybody, obviously no one goes to wikipedia for that, but if you just let me explain my point of view. "Whilst I think bold and italics looks nicer" -sorry for misrepresenting your view! All I said was that you said it LOOKS better... Offence is never given, only ever taken... I understand your concern and but respectfully disagree (if i'm breaking any rule and not just annoying somebody then fair enough) But this only wikipedia. Wikipedia. If it's something personally frustrating I would recommend not bothering to respond. If people really are troubled a lot by this then I sincerely apologise, but surely you can just go 'this person is an idiot' and move on, because it's only wikipedia. I recognise there are those out there for whom wikipedia is instrinsic to their being, but that is ultimately an opinion, as is mine. Nevertheless I will be mindful in order to reduce suffering of fellow editors. It's difficult for me to make my argument considering the fastest laps and poles, bolds and italics argument is inherently linked to inclusiveness, so it will always appear to some as if I'm disagreeing with inclusiveness when I disagree with certain aspects of the logic... and frankly the one rule for everything view. I say 'disagree', which implies that my opinion should trump all, but I see this more of a debating exercise (it's called 'talk') to make people actually think rather just going through the motions of the preset wikipedia guidelines -to just seize upon a binary issue, as is annoyingly common in wikipedia. 'Oh it's not black, it should be white (according to wikipedia), well maybe it really should be orange...' I hope you understand where I'm coming from.Stevebackgammon (talk) 13:36, 22 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
