Page protection for Green Day

I'm not an admin or anything, but I thought you'd like to know that since having as few protected pages as possible is policy, it seems the only articles admins give temporary protection to are usually getting hit several times a minute for around half an hour. Nine a day is quite easy for vandal watchers to manage, many of whom are probably already keeping an eye on it specficially. I would have to disagree with Dharmabum on that. If an article is a regular target for vandals, it does deserve semi-protection. I have applied it to the Green Day article, to be in effect for 24 hours.  Denelson83  20:55, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Note that I wasn't stating my opinion on how things should be done, merely what I've observed other admins doing over my hours of vandal patrol; I thought SteveJ2006 might like more of an explanation than "not enough". - dharmabum 23:10, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
