Thank you! edit

I'm trying to request a protection on the page for Monument, Colorado for edit wars by someone trying to self-promote. Do you think you have a moment to lend me a hand? Its been a while since I had to request one.

Grateful! Stephen VanDyke (talk) 02:01, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Did you have a different username when you edited before? It's okay to start a new account, but it's often a good idea to disclose your earlier username. It's even okay to have two active accounts, but you have to be careful, in that case, to strictly separate their activities, since overlapping edits in the same area will generally be seen as abuse. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 02:06, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

This is my only account, I have been registered for 12 years now and every time I log in again I fall in love with it all over. (Stephen VanDyke (talk) 02:14, 1 August 2018 (UTC))Reply

Monument CO edit

I saw your IRC help request. I've requested temporary semi-protection for the page, on your behalf, even though that will also prevent you from editing the page until you get autoconfirmed status (another day and a few more edits). You seem to have the right idea with taking up the issue on the talk page, but those IP editors appear to be playing disruption games rather than making serious improvements. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 02:03, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
