January 2014 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "StefanSport", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. AnupMehra 17:39, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

StefanSport is my wikipedia name, created on the Dutch Wikipedia. It's my front name + my biggest passion: sport. I made major changes to the 2012 Paralympic Games (+sidepages) on the Dutch wiki, but after a while I got busy with other work. Lately I'm back, and my most visited on Wikipedia are pages about sportevents and music albums (+ artists). I just see I only edited hip hop discographies here, since the English wiki is more up to date on sport events then the Dutch variant.

So with all respect I don't see what's wrong with this username. It's not linked to any site or any other thing. But I'm open for reasons why I can't use this name.

Hi, StefanSport. No worries, then. We are simply checking to make sure you are editing on behalf of yourself. We deal with a good amount of folks that try to edit for the company they work for, which creates many problems. We apologize for any frustrations. Have a good one. Disambiguation link notification for March 1 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited DJ Nasty & LVM, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Plies (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
