November 2021 edit

  Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Fascism, you may be blocked from editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:17, 4 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

May I please be unblocked? SteKelBry (talk) 23:38, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Important Notice edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Unblock Request edit

Hi, I was wondering if I could be unblocked? I learned in high school that fascism was a far-left ideology, so I was just contributing any way I can to Wikipedia. I hope you can give me another chance to do what’s right.

Thanks. SteKelBry (talk) 22:02, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

It's not just a case where you've been attempting to insert false information into Fascism. Every edit I looked at, you were pushing garbage. Either you were trolling or you simply lack sufficient competence to be trusted to edit here. --Yamla (talk) 22:38, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I can honestly say that I was not trolling. If I can earn a second chance, I promise that I can efficiently contribute to Wikipedia. I just need to learn how properly contribute here. SteKelBry (talk) 22:48, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Is there any way I can get unblocked? Can we make a plea bargain? SteKelBry (talk) 00:22, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

In order for an unblock request to be successful, it should follow the guidelines laid out at Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks. In particular, your request should indicate "that the block is no longer necessary because you understand what you are blocked for, you will not do it again, and you will make productive contributions instead". Indicating what specific contributions you intend to make is a good idea, as well. clpo13(talk) 00:30, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I've closed your duplicate open requests; only one open request at a time is needed(closed requests must remain until the block is removed).

My suggestion is that you first take the time to learn how to cite sources as well as more about Wikipedia in general(such as by reading the Five Pillars before you become unblocked. I will also provide you with a process below through which you can demonstrate a substantive edit you would make. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:00, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Read our guide to improving articles.
  • Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • If you have trouble choosing an article to improve, see this index of articles needing improvement for ideas. Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:
    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...);
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page, and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include citations to reliable sources (which they should), add the following template to the end of your prose: reflist-talk. Once you have added the template, click Publish changes.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 09:00, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have read the Five Pillars, as well as how to accurately cite sources. If I can be given a second chance, I would really love to be a regular contributor to the American Civil War page, as well as their sub-pages.

I hope I am given a second chance, as I now know that what I did was wrong. Thank you in advance. SteKelBry (talk) 16:46, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

To be clear, you are refusing the incredibly, incredibly generous offer 331dot extended to you? You are rejecting the path you were offered to unblocking, despite your blatantly inappropriate edits? And now you claim you are about to graduate with a history degree, so you clearly knew your edits were deliberately and maliciously incorrect? If you are rejecting the path you were offered, please say so. --Yamla (talk) 11:19, 22 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am rejecting the path I follow. I have completed everything 331dot offered me. SteKelBry (talk) 16:46, 22 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
This is complete nonsense. Either you plan to follow the path 331dot offered you, which you most certainly have not despite your false claims here, or you reject that path. --Yamla (talk) 18:23, 22 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I did everything that was asked of me.SteKelBry (talk) 23:16, 22 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Nonsense. Utter, utter nonsense. Anyone can see you haven't followed the path offered by 331dot, you haven't suggested a non-trivial edit. It's increasingly hard to tell if you lack sufficient competence or are outright trolling at this point. Given your earlier edits, I strongly suspect the latter. If your very next edit isn't following 331dot's "second chance", if your very next edit isn't setting up to demonstrate a non-trivial edit, I will revoke your talk page access. You've wasted more than enough of our time with your foolery. --Yamla (talk) 23:26, 22 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
