License tagging for Image:Vbsunset.PNG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Vbsunset.PNG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:26, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello! You had tried to add your sunset picture to the Venice article. I'm going to revert your change to that article as it wasn't properly formed wikitext, and the picture did not display. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Extended_image_syntax for how to construct the tags necessary for placing images (with captions, etc.) into an article. You might also want to take a look at Help:Contents for general help with Wikipedia.

As the OrphanBot noted above, you also need to add a copyright/license to your image, Vbsunset.PNG. For example, if your want to release your image into the public domain, place {{pd-self}} onto the talk page of your image.

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm fairly new here as well, and am learning too. Feel free to stop by my talk page and ask any questions, I'll do my best to help. Best regards, guyzero | talk 19:01, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I forgot to mention, there are other image licensing tags available at Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags. Cheers! guyzero | talk 19:10, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
