User talk:Spinality/CP/CMS

Thanks, nice start. I will do some research, and try to sort out a variety of conflicting details. I expect I'll have some revised text in a few days, or perhaps the end of next week. Damn, I used to have a bunch of old VM manuals; even some CP/67 manuals. I think I got rid of them all, however. (Around the time I got rid of my 8" floppy disk drives and CP/M computers.) Here's a philosophical issue. Your infobox lists modern platforms like S/390. CP/CMS ran on the 360/67 and (I believe) a few of the early S/370 models. I doubt that any 'pure' CP/CMS (as opposed to VM/CMS) installations were attempted after the mid 70s, even if then – because of the extreme platform dependencies and processor changes. Do we talk about CP/CMS purely in its historical context or regard it as part of the VM timeline? I'd think that the VM article should retain the latter thrust, but ours the former.
