Greetings,

you have correctly used the {{hangon}} tag to dispute speedy deletion of an article; however, the instructions ask you not to remove the original deletion notice. It's there so that the administrators know why the article was nominated for speedy deletion. (And it won't help you to keep the article from being deleted, because the "hangon" template also adds the article to candidates for speedy deletion.)

re:Notability

edit

Read Wikipedia:Notability to understand what Wikipedia considers notable. Popularity does not make a piece of software or website notable. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 21:20, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:EAR post

edit

This is not the appropriate way to deal with disputes. Rather than accuse an editor of making false claims (that are clearly not false), you need to assume good faith and be civil. I note that you have made no attempt to discuss the issue with the other editor in relative privacy first. Now, to the issues with the article: you must not confuse popularity with notability, because popularity has no direct bearing on notability, and this subject is not sufficiently notable. It is also unsourced, which leaves its content unverified. Nor is the article's content particularly encyclopædic, so even if it stayed, it would need to be rewritten. Ideally, you should have read the key policies and guidelines before creating a new article, so I suggest that you read them now. WP:N, WP:V, WP:NOT, WP:REF and WP:OR are particularly important. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Banlist.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Banlist.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 12:54, 16 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
