Map Requests edit

Hi SpencerCS! I would be willing to make such a map of the ROC; however, I will be traveling for the next few months and will not have access to Photoshop, GIMP, etc. to make one. Perhaps in September! -Pryaltonian (talk) 03:22, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

An ROC map has been uploaded with the official boundaries of the ROC to wikimedia commons. You can find it here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Map-ROC.png Pryaltonian (talk) 19:58, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Map Requests edit

Hi, sorry that I didn't answer earlier. I will see if I can make the maps you requested in the following days. I'll notify you then. Regards, -TheG (talk) 01:22, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi again, sorry it took a while for my response but I have been a bit busy lately. For now at least, I made two of the maps: French Revolutionary, Nine Year's. I would appreciate it if you could look over the maps and see if you find any errors, and I will fix it. -TheG (talk) 14:50, 7 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ok, fixed it! Please don't hesitate to contact me again if you find something else. -TheG (talk) 23:47, 7 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Template:The Nine World Wars nominated for deletion edit

Hi SpencerCS. I nominated a template you create Template:The Nine World Wars for deletion, as the classification is never used outside the high school text book you quote. Therefore I do not think it is a notable inclusion to Wikipedia and would create confusion rather than clarity. Also, the textbook has been described as giving a Eurocentric view on history, so I think there maybe additional issues regarding neutrality of the source. Feel free to comment Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2010_August_21#August_21. Arnoutf (talk) 09:18, 21 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Map modification request for File:Churches Orthodox Communion Europe.png edit

Kosovo should be green

Hello!

I noticed you have previously edited commons:File:Churches Orthodox Communion Europe.png. An IP mentioned on Talk:List of Orthodox churches that the area of Kosovo should be indicated as part of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and I tend to agree. Indeed, among the canonical Churches, Kosovo is part of the canonical territory of the Serbian Church. Moreover, there is a well-publicised Orthodox minority in Kosovo. The independence of Kosovo changes neither of these two facts, so this modification should not be controversial.

Besides, it may be appropriate to use a dotted line for the border between Kosovo and Serbia, as independent Kosovo has only partial international recognition, especially in the context of traditionally Orthodox countries such as Russia, Serbia or Greece which do not recognize it. But I'll let you be the judge to that.

As you seem to be more at ease than me with maps, do you mind making these changes? Place Clichy (talk) 16:00, 8 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
