Image sizes

edit

Your edits to Ashley Tisdale have been reverted as per WP:MOS, which states

"use the thumbnail option ("thumb"), which is available in the image markup. This results in a default width of 180 pixels (140 pixels if the "upright" option is used as well), although logged-in users can set a different default in their user preferences. As a rule, images should not be forced to a fixed size (that is, one that overrides the default)"

If you wish the images to appear differently on your system, I would suggest you change the value found under the Files tab in Special:Preferences. Tabercil (talk) 18:35, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Juanacho?

edit

I just couldn't help notice the similarities between your edits and Juanacho's edits. There are many similarities in the editing style and the grammar used in your edit summaries. And it seems you both have interest in the same articles, such as Ashley Tisdale, Guilty Pleasure (album), Heidi Montag, Identified and Tisdale's previous studio album singles. It seems you both have the same interests and what I am really surprised by is how you both edit Chilean pop song articles such as Eres La Luz, Seré (which was created by Juancha) and Morir de Amor (song), Juanacho made fairly big contributions to each of these articles. Those articles are not edited frequently and administrators barely pay attention to them. The timing for the creation of this account is also suspicious. Juanacho stopped editing on Wikipedia on 2 April 2009 and this is when your account started editing frequently on Juanacho's favourite pages which include Guilty Pleasure (album) and Tisdale's Headstrong singles. Later on in the last days of March 2009, in an attempt to improve other articles on Wikipedia Juanacho started editing The Hills cast's articles. It is fascinating how you both have the same interests, edit the same way, have the same perspective on image sizing, and the timing of the creation for this account is also questioning. Sock puppeting on Wikipedia is not to be tolerated. But it seems you are getting away with it. It is obvious you are a sock puppeteer. Evidence: Juanacho's history page and Soulyaboy's history page. Notice anything? Do you disagree? Olivewildes (talk) 19:35, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

awards and achievements boxes

edit

Please stop removing the awards and achievements boxes from the Vanessa Hudgens article. Unless you can show us where on Wikipedia it says that the awards and achievements boxes are only for "real awards" as you are saying leave them in the article or go to the talk page to discuss this. Thank You. FrehleySpace Ace 20:51, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:IAIO Music Video.JPG)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:IAIO Music Video.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Sound Files

edit

I have a question. I saw how you uploaded the clip for the song "It's Alright, It's O.K.". I was wondering how to upload to types of files because I want to upload some for Hannah Montana 3 and its song articles without downloading a program. I need help with this, please reply. --Ipodnano05 (talk) 05:17, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:NLT MUSICVIDEO.JPG

edit

Thank you for uploading File:NLT MUSICVIDEO.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — ξxplicit 06:13, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
