This principle, while a very sound and morally defensible one, is not Constitutional. The U.S. Constitution is a notoriously non-egalitarian document, created by a group of white men (many of them slaveowners), many or most of whom would have rejected the principle of equal opportunity with vigor, even repugnance. --Orange Mike 15:27, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
