Hello and thank you for your recent edits to the above article. I thought I'd reach out to specifically about this one. I am unable to find a cite that speaks to the "Popularising Hindu mythology, Indian history and cultural heritage revitalisation" part of his Infobox. I have used to google translate for the Bangla articles and could have easily missed it there. Perhaps you could point it out me? Thanks again -MayureshK 14:45, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi thank you Mayuresh! I have improved the article and it no longer fits a stub I think so I’ll remove the tag as well. Besides, here is a Bengali source that indicates why he won the national civilian honour and why he is notable. Please check it out. https://bangla.asianetnews.com/india/narendra-modi-congratulations-souhardya-de-from-west-bengal-he-has-been-awarded-the-pradhan-mantri-bal-puraskar-asb-qnhvcb Thanks Snehashis6577 (talk) 15:20, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Snehashis6577Reply
I am not too worried about this notability. I was referring to the text "Popularising Hindu mythology, Indian history and cultural heritage revitalisation" in his Infobox. -MayureshK
Lol no! By notability, I meant why he is ‘known for’ as per the infobox terms! Sorry for the misunderstanding on your part. Should’ve written better! Btw, thanks for the edits. Got a good deal of info on the page now! Snehashis6577 (talk) 15:47, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Snehashis6577Reply
I am glad to help of help. But I am afraid I don't agree with you about keeping the "known for". I am afraid what we've got here is interpretation. Wikipedia only reports facts, it does not interpret them for the readers. -MayureshK 15:51, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Souhardya De. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 13:52, 4 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dear Bonadea, I’m not adding promotional terms. For your information, the award stated is an Indian civilian honour and as per the Government of India norms on other awardee pages on Wikipedia, one is expected to write down the category of the award received. It is not simply an award. There is a category like the Padma Shri or the Padma Bhushan that needs to be stated for better clarification. What promotional thing do you find in it? Please clarify! I have no issues with the term "civilian award" if that is an important descriptor. Verbiage like "highest civilian honour bestowed upon exceptional achievers" is usually not appropriate in a Wikipedia article, however – readers might get the mistaken impression that the Wikipedia article is trying to praise the person. This is especially important when the article is about a person whose notability is not quite clear, and especially when there have been concerted efforts to promote the person in Wikipedia before. --bonadea contributions talk 14:16, 4 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I understand! I have, as always, extended my allegiance to the Wiki policies and believe promotion and advert lie outside the same. And yes, since civilian award is important, I have added the same but the verbiage or any other such promotion is not to be added. Hi Snehashis6577. In this edit, you decided to change the article despite the hidden comment telling you not to. Even five seconds of research, such as clicking some of the links, would have shown you that your edit was incorrect.
