Speedy deletion

edit

Please do not place any more speedy deletion tags on articles until you have gained some experience of the expected standards by editing articles, and you have understood the speedy deletion criteria. I just removed a bunch of your {{db-A7}} templates from articles that were either about topics not subject to this criterion or that clearly indicated importance/significance. Tagging Articles for speedy deletion under A7

edit

Hi there Smartcityboy,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy editing here and would stay with us.

I see you have tagged a number of articles for speedy deletion under A7. There are two points to note: firstly, A7 strictly applies ONLY to a real person, individual animal, commercial or non-commercial organization, web content, or organized event. This is why I removed the A7 tag you placed under Dighori, as the topic was about a geographic location which is not within the categories of article A7 may apply to (On a side note, you tagged that article with the {{db-person}} tag, which only applies to real persons). Second, for an article that is eligible for speedy deletion under that criteria, the article itself must not contain any credible claims of significance. This is why A7 probably does not apply to the following articles you tagged (just to mention a few):

  • Akash Thosar - although this article is about a real person, she (according to the article) has appeared in Bollywood and has known roles in notable films. This clearly qualifies as a credible claim of significance.
  • Gopaldas Shankarlal Agrawal - he is a member of a state-level legislature, which itself clearly qualifies as a credible claim of significance.

Hope this helps, and please do exercise more caution in requesting articles for deletion in the future. Please let me know in my talk page in case you have any questions, or if you think I made a mistake. Thanks and happy editing --Dps04 (talk) 11:07, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
